The thought process behind the new certification is based on surveys and data obtained from various industries that projects are become more complex and specialization is occurring and needed within various projects, program and portfolios. To match this industry trend, PMI is offering the RMP certification to PMP and Project Team Members, both certified PMP and non-certified PMPs.
