Join us for a highly interactive, modified lean coffee style session where we will provide a list of 12 key career hacking topics to expand your awareness and promote your growth.  You will be in control of what you want to discuss most; participants will dot-vote on the top ones that interest them, and then we will facilitate time-boxed discussions around this prioritized list.

Erica Woods is the Manager of IT Contractor Programs and Philanthropy at Apex Systems. Her focus is on overseeing programs, teams, communication channels, and other resources that support and add value to their National IT Contractor Community of 15,000+. Erica also oversees corporate philanthropy efforts and STEM/Tech4Good programs. She has 13+ years of experience in the IT staffing world and an MBA from Loyola University. She delivers Career Development webcasts and writes articles for Apex and the MSSQLTips.com online technical community, speaks at tech community conferences such as BA World/PM Summit, PMI PDD events and SQL Saturdays, and provides internal and external Team, Attitude, Performance, Career and Hiring Coaching. Erica also is a Co-Organizer for the Tampa and Baltimore Tech4Good groups, which are Tech Soup NetSquared groups that bring together technical folks looking for skills-based volunteering opportunities with nonprofits in need of technology help/guidance/troubleshooting.

Scott Sax:

Scott Sax is a Senior Project Manager for Think Systems. With over 19 years’ experience in technology, marketing, web, and project management, Scott consults with various companies, helping them solve their most pressing problems, rescue projects, and bring organization and best practices to the forefront.  Having a good mix of left brain and right brain activities, Scott has the unique ability to think outside the box and come up with creative, non-traditional solutions to challenges we face. His positive attitude, humor, and honesty help him excel in leading and motivate teams while conducting project management, change management, and risk management.  Scott holds an Executive MBA from Loyola University Maryland, a Bachelor's Degree in English Writing and History from the University of Pittsburgh, and an Associate's Degree in Specialized Technology in Computer Animation from the Art Institute in Philadelphia. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and ITIL v3 Foundations. Scott is a passionate Oakland Raiders football fan, daddy of 2, wanna-be tap dancer, and a positive psychology and happiness enthusiast.
