Abstract:  The last few years have seen a meteoric rise in disciplines related to using and exploring large quantities of data (Big Data), such as Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things. A part of the Artificial Intelligence domain, Machine Learning took hold in many corporations and started impacting the business outcomes. In turn, Project Managers are suddenly facing a different type of project they are asked to manage: the Machine Learning project. This presentation is addressed to experienced Project Managers who want to understand how to manage Machine Learning projects, what are the specific challenges they will face, and what are some best practices to help them successfully deliver business value.

Presenter: Zorina Alliata has extensive experience managing the strategy and delivery of software projects, and has spent the last six years working in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Currently a Machine Learning Strategist with Amazon, Zorina works with global customers to find solutions that speed up operations and enhance processes. Zorina is also an adjunct faculty at Georgetown University, teaching Agile Project Management courses, as well as a certified Learning Tree instructor for Scaled Agile and Project Management courses.
