How to Work with Jerks Without Becoming One
Synopsis:
Working with difficult people is an experience all of us share. Facing the challenges of project and program management is hard enough, but it can be made even harder if we have to work with people who make our work lives unpleasant through their behavior. We sometimes wish we could change them into productive, congenial colleagues so we can concentrate on things like scope, time and cost.
Since leadership is not limited to position, all of us need to be able to respond appropriately as leaders to inappropriate behavior. In this presentation Ron will provide a typology of difficult people and the kinds of behaviors they exhibit, discuss some the reasons difficult people behave the way they do, offer suggestions for effectively dealing with their behavior and help you learn how you can avoid becoming a difficult person.
