This event/activity qualifies for 7.50 PDUs.

Presented by Dr. O. Derex Griffin, PgMP, PMP

Purpose: To give Project Managers an organized approach with managing EVM principles, blending theory with practical examples and case studies.

At the conclusion of this course:

  1. You will reinforce that absolute necessity; leadership if you’re going to mature your organization’s EVM.
  2. You will revisit, internalize and apply the tenants of influencing your leadership from the project sponsor to other project executives.
  3. You will revisit, contemplate and appreciate the cultural EVM differences between for profit and not for profit organizations.
  4. You will highlight and appreciate the ever dynamic constraint of stakeholder engagement, knowing them and serving them, and how the careful navigation thereof is crucial to your project’s survival.
  5. You will revisit, contemplate and appreciate the strengths and cultural limits of EVM.

Instructor's Bio

Dr. Derex O. Griffin is a Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP)® and a Program Management Professional (PgMP)® who has worked with teams for over 20+ years. He served in a number of roles including Adjunct Professor, Program Manager, Business Coach, Mentor and Team Facilitator. Dr. Griffin has a burning passion for improving team performance and is passionate about teaching and mentoring.

Dr. Griffin has a B.S. in Industrial Technology, Master of Business Administration,  and an M.S. in Education, Carl A Spaatz Center for Officer Education, and a Doctorate of Business Administration. He is a Certified Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Academic Instructor (81T0).
