The Columbia Members have spoken! The PMI Baltimore Chapter is pleased to announce the first Columbia Division Meeting –
‘AI AND THE FUTURE OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT’
This presentation will start by exploring the general impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on work and life. It will then explore the various capabilities offered by AI including Automation, Analysis, Inference, Design, Communication, Sentiment Analysis, etc.
These capabilities will then be explored in the context of various Project Management functions. It will provide a forward-looking perspective followed by a robust Question and Answer session.

Presenter: Tushar Rathod, PMP, President of VPS, a consulting firm and Adjunct Professor at University of Maryland, UMBC & Towson University
Tushar Rathod currently supports the Chief Architect’s Office at the Social Security Administration. Additionally, he focuses on Product Management, Strategy, Service Design & Agile Transformation. His diverse experience in multiple different industries and roles gives him a unique perspective to address highly complex challenges currently facing the leadership ranks in corporates, academia, government and nonprofits.
Biography:
Mr. Rathod supports the government as well as corporate clients. At the Social Security Administration, he is advising the Chief Architect’s Office on scaling Enterprise Architecture & Product Management to the enterprise level. He works on defining and aligning Business Architecture, Value Stream Mapping, Product Portfolio Management, Strategy Execution Framework using OKRs & KPIs and alignment of funding models with value driven prioritization. He led a team of seasoned product management mentors at Northrop Grumman as a Senior Consultant in the recent past. In other assignments, he has been involved with rolling out Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure Automation, Tooling & Security across AWS & Azure.
A passion for academics led him to teach at Towson University in 2011 and he continues to teach there, as well as at the UMBC Training Centers. In the past, he has taught at Baltimore County Community College, Howard Community College and University of Maryland Global Campus. Mr. Rathod is currently teaching a flipped classroom style full-stack Product Management Certification course at The Product School in Silicon Valley, California. He is a senior faculty for University of Maryland’s Masters in Product Management’s capstone course.
He occasionally evaluates start-ups for investor groups such as USM Maryland Momentum Fund, provides organizational transformation consulting & training to nonprofits such as The American Chemical Society in Washington D.C., The Chick-fil-A, J.P. Morgan & EY’s Innovation Lab. Corporate training engagements may include Product Management, Agility, Change Management, and more.
