Abstract:

‘Developing Your Sphere Of Influence’

This presentation will include three sections: an overview of key fundamental concepts of it; a discussion of an example of my own, with a breakdown of the different factors involved and how I came into it; and steps for developing it. Time for questions and discussion will be included also. My goal through the presentation is for everyone present to be able to identify some of the fundamentals that resonate with them and be confident with general steps for improving them.

Key Takeaways:

  • Identification of Leadership fundamentals that resonate well with them.
  • Identification of work situations of their own to apply them to.
  • An understanding of how to develop it on their own.

Presenter: Steven Kury, MBA

While most of us will never be nationally recognized leaders, we can all improve our skills. This will result in more productive relationships and better working environments.

Steven Kury is a former UI Developer, now a Software Product Manager, and received his MBA with a concentration in marketing from the College of William and Mary. Starting in late 2019 he started working on the first of three large data systems for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, part of the Department of Health and Human Services for the Federal Government. The first two of these were large-scale Agile implementations. He contributed to these systems in Product Management capacities.
