Abstract:

This presentation will address the complexities and challenges of managing hybrid projects that integrate both agile and traditional methodologies. We will explore the distinct management techniques required for Agile and Traditional projects individually and delve into the unique challenges that arise when these methodologies are combined within a single project. Furthermore, we will examine the management of hybrid project teams, which consist of both in-person and remote members, and discuss how project managers must adapt to this evolving and dynamic environment.

Key Takeaways:

By the time this presentation is complete, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the increasing prevalence of Hybrid projects and understand the need for project managers to be proficient in Traditional and Agile methodologies to manage such projects effectively.
  • Identify and manage the commonalities and differences between Agile and Traditional methodologies to ensure accurate reporting and successful project outcomes.
  • Navigate the challenges of managing Hybrid teams, focusing on optimizing team dynamics, communication, and reporting in a mixed in-person and remote setting, thereby enhancing team collaboration and project efficiency.
