Abstract: At a large clinical research organization, project management approaches can vary greatly across many functional groups. Integrating the most effective project management approaches with everyone involved at the functional and program levels can have an immediate impact. In this presentation, the Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. Clinical Monitoring Research Program Directorate project management team highlights its best integrated project management approaches, experience of executing federally funded clinical research projects and lessons learned from key stakeholders while implementing and expanding the best integrated project management framework in support of multiple clinical research projects during the Ebola outbreak in West Africa and global Covid-19 pandemic.
Presenter: Jiwan Giri is a Clinical Project Manager III (CPMIII) within the Clinical Monitoring Research Program Directorate (CMRPD) and is currently providing clinical research, strategic, operational, and project management services in support of clinical research within the Office of Clinical Research Operations and Regulatory Compliance (OCRPRO), NIAID Division of Clinical Research (DCR), and NIAID. Jiwan is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and an active volunteer of PMI Corporate in writing, reviewing, and testing PMP exams. As a volunteer member of the PMI Washington, DC chapter, Jiwan volunteered on program/membership support and currently serving on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) and youth and PMI’s social impact (YSI) teams.
