Maria Killian-Clement

President PMI Baltimore Chapter

Maria Killian has over 27 years with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the Air Traffic Organization as a Program Manager.  She leads a diverse group of engineers, analysts and other expert professionals across the United States as they manage the agency’s technical real property also known as operational support facilities within the National Airspace System.  She is the President of the FAA’s Technical Women’s Organization (www.technicalwomen.org)which is a 400+ member organization designed to increase the number of women in technical fields within the agency. In addition, she is the President of Women in Aviation International – Capital Region Chapter(www.wai.org), a nonprofit organization committed to support and advance women in all aviation career fields.

Maria joined Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2005. as a Project Management Professional and continues to be an active member of PMI – Baltimore Chapter (pmibaltimore.org) having served as the:

  • Vice President of Special Projects (2018-present)
  • Volunteer – Professional Development Event (2017)
  • Co-Chair – Professional Development Event (2016)
  • Volunteer – Professional Development Event (2015)
  • Volunteer – Co-Author, Chapter of the Year Award Package (2014)

Maria is self-motivated and values accountability, integrity, and an action-oriented style of leadership.  In her spare time, she’s involved with Toastmasters International (www.toastmasters.org)serving as:

  • Vice President of Education, Go Pro Chapter (2017-present) helping to create a community club that attracts prospective members
  • Vice President of Membership, Go Pro Chapter (2015-2016) helping to increase club membership
  • President, Go Pro Chapter (2016-2017) leading the club to Presidential Distinguished status

Maria has an Executive MBA and a BS in Computer System Engineering.   She’s an empty nester with 6 children attending college and recently started working on her bucket list.  Maria looks forward to the opportunity to serve as your VP of Special Projects

      To become a member of the PMI Baltimore Chapter, you must first become a member of the Project Management Institute. As you complete the primary PMI membership forms, you will be asked if you wish to join a local chapter; select the Baltimore Chapter on the form (Note: there is a $20.00 fee to join the Chapter).
