The PMI Baltimore Chapter is pleased to announce the first Baltimore Division Meeting.
Abstract:
Bill Gundrum will present tactics and techniques on negotiations utilizing the PMBOK and personal influence to increase project success. It is common within the project management community for Project managers to negotiate throughout the projects regarding: deadlines, resources, scope, budgets, and much more. This session will cover the many aspects where project negotiation is crucial, and ways to help you get the best possible decisions and outcomes. See how to use tools and techniques from the “PMBOK® Guide,” and personal influencing and body language tricks in negotiating to help you and your project be successful.
Participants will be able to:
- Apply strategies to prepare projects for negotiations and facilitate agreements.
- Apply techniques for displaying appropriate body language for successful negotiations.
- Use power skills to drive impact on project deadlines, resources, scope, budgets, etc.
- Address how body language and personal influence can impact negotiated outcomes.

Bill Gundrum, PMP®, PMI-RMP®, PMI-ACP®
Bill Gundrum is a project management and PMO consultant with VEA Solution. Throughout his career, he has consulted with many companies in various industries establishing project management processes and program management offices. He specializes in portfolio and project management tools, with a unique ability to apply project management theories, techniques, and tools, making them practical to work with in the real world. He is an expert in Microsoft Project and Project Online, and has trained thousands in project management fundamentals and project management tools.
Mr. Gundrum is also president and chief designer of CV Projects, an online project management system providing integrated project management best practices that are simple and affordable for any project manager.
Mr. Gundrum is a long-time member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has been a volunteer and presenter with several programs and events, and a contributor to PMI’s “Practice Standard for Earned Value Management and Project Management Using Microsoft Project” books. He holds PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP)®, the PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP®), and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® certifications, as well as Microsoft’s Project certifications and a degree in computer science from Penn State.
