Abstract:

Bill Gundrum will present tactics and techniques on negotiations utilizing the PMBOK and personal influence to increase project success.  It is common within the project management community for Project managers to negotiate throughout the projects regarding: deadlines, resources, scope, budgets, and much more. This session will cover the many aspects where project negotiation is crucial, and ways to help you get the best possible decisions and outcomes. See how to use tools and techniques from the “PMBOK® Guide,” and personal influencing and body language tricks in negotiating to help you and your project be successful.

Participants will be able to:

  • Apply strategies to prepare projects for negotiations and facilitate agreements.
  • Apply techniques for displaying appropriate body language for successful negotiations.
  • Use power skills to drive impact on project deadlines, resources, scope, budgets, etc.
  • Address how body language and personal influence can impact negotiated outcomes.
