Abstract:
From Military Operations to Project Management Networking Event
The Baltimore Chapter of PMI (PMIBC) is looking to improve its Veterans Outreach Program to provide better assistance to military personnel and veterans transitioning into roles in project management. Through enhanced outreach efforts, upgrade to our veteran identification process, specialized events, and support services, PMIBC aims to capitalize on the distinctive skills and experiences of veterans. By the end of 2024, PMIBC hopes to increase veteran participation by 25%, strengthening the chapter’s military community.
Key Takeaways:
- Community Connection: Participants will have an opportunity to network with other veterans, building a community and offering support within the field.
- Professional Paths: By emphasizing the usefulness of military expertise in civilian employment, attendees will get knowledge of the different assistance programs PMIBC provides for those wishing to move into project management positions.
- Program Impact: By actively encouraging participants to express their interests and preferences regarding forthcoming activities and events, the program will be able to better correspond with the genuine requirements and aspirations of the veteran community.
