The Second Five Traits of Risk Management Excellence
This meeting will qualify for 1 hour of Stratigic & Business Management PDU with PMI
Carl Pritchard, the Risk Guy, comes to the Harford Site to share his thoughts on the next generation of risk management excellence. (The first "Five C's" have been presented at a number of Baltimore chapter sites, and Carl didn't want to give us a rerun). The second set (which also fit nicely in the "C" motif) include:
Concrete – Being a stone wall when it comes to tolerances
Calculating – Leveraging the mathematics only when it makes sense
Considerate – Considering the cross-project, cross-community and cross-organizational implications
Clairvoyant – Playing the game five steps ahead
Chronicle – Becoming the resident historian
This presentation digs into some of the changes that PMBOK brings to bear and looks at the opportunities presented by those who take risk management seriously.
